Demi Lovato is an American actress and singer-songwriter best known for her role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock and its upcoming sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, set to premiere in September 2010. Indeed, this 18-year-old Disney star is one hot sexy female celebrity to watch out for.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Demi began her acting career at the age of seven, appearing on the children's television series Barney and Friends, alongside long time friend and fellow Disney star Selena Gomez. In 2006, she appeared on television shows such as Prison Break and Just Jordan. In January 2007, she landed the role of Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel Original Short Series, As the Bell Rings. A few of her original songs were also featured on the show.
Hot and sexy Demi catapulted to stardom when she was cast alongside Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas in the Disney Channel film, Camp Rock. She played the role of Mitchie, a fourteen-year-old girl with hopes of becoming a singer. The movie premiered on June 20, 2008 in the USA on Disney Channel with 8.9 million viewers, making her a house-hold name. She also provided vocals on four of the songs featured on the Camp Rock soundtrack.
In 2009, the hot and sexy young actress co-starred with Selena Gomez in Princess Protection Program. The movie is the fourth highest rated Disney Channel Original Movie, and premiered on Disney Channel with 8.5 million viewers. Demi then went on to star in the Disney Channel Original Series, Sonny With a Chance, which premiered in February 2009. The series' second season premiered in March 2010. She plays the role of Sonny who becomes the new cast member of a live comedy show, So Random!.
As a solo musical artist, Demi has released two albums. Her debut album, Don't Forget, was released in September 2008. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. Her second album, Here We Go Again, was released in July 2009 and it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The hot and sexy singer-actress also appears on two soundtrack albums in 2010. She recorded songs for the Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam soundtrack, which was released in August 2010, and will also appear on the Sonny With a Chance soundtrack in late 2010.
